Nanum Gothic Coding was developed based on Nanum Gothic, announced on October 9, 2008, to optimize the coding environment for developers. When developing programs, source code editing is often essential. Even a single wrong character can cause a program to behave completely differently or even produce errors. While most errors occur due to incorrectly written programs, many also arise from characters that are not easily distinguishable on the source code editing screen. For example, uppercase letter 'I', lowercase letter 'l', and the number '1' often appear similar in many fonts, causing confusion. Nanum Gothic Coding is designed to easily distinguish these potentially confusing characters, minimizing confusion for developers. Additionally, all characters included in the font have a fixed width, allowing developers to use the font seamlessly in various editing and terminal programs.
